Understanding Caithness Glass Paperweights
Paperweight Size
Caithness Glass paperweights are produced in a range of sizes. The website provides a guide to the size of each paperweight shown but please note that due to the handcrafted nature of the paperweights all sizing is an approximation only.
Edition Size
L or U before the product code signifies that the piece is either limited in its edition size (e.g. a limited edition of 100 indicates that a maximum of 100 of this design will be made and sold) or unlimited. Pieces which are limited by time are only produced within a certain year as shown.
Quality Assurance
Caithness Glass paperweights are made to exacting quality standards. Due to the handmade nature of our products the size and colour may vary slightly between each piece. This is not a flaw but your assurance that every piece is handcrafted.

Designer Initials
Every Caithness Glass paperweight is designed by an individual designer or by a team of designers. Currently Caithness Glass has four main designers and their biographies can be accessed below. Additionally, there have been a variety of different designers who have worked with Caithness Glass in the past and some of their designs continue in the range today. On each product entry on our website the designer's name is denoted by his or her initials as follows:
