Crafting Method: Metal tools and moulds in the shape of flowers and leaves are used to indent colour glass powders up inside the clear glass. The internal flower is formed first and then on the next layer of glass the second set of petals, more glass is taken from the furnace so that the outside set of leaves can be formed then sand and heather coloured glass are melted into the base. The piece is put into the kiln to cool for 10 hours. Once cool the base is ground and polished.
