Crafting Method: The small bubble in the middle of the weight - Hamlet's head - is created first by indenting the glass and then covering it with more glass to trap an air bubble. The colours for his cloak are then melted into the glass and pushed up through it. Moody shades of purple and blue are melted into the glass behind Hamlet, giving the whole piece an eerie dramatic feel. Once the weight is cool, the skull and inscription 'To be or not to be, that is the question' are hand engraved onto the surface.
